A Message from Regent Tammi Dukes, Chair of the KSU Board Of Regents

Posted on May 13, 2023

On behalf of the Kentucky State University Board of Regents, I am pleased to announce the upcoming staff, faculty, student, and open presidential forums. These forums present valuable opportunities for all KSU staff, faculty, students, and stakeholders to engage with the finalists for KSU’s next permanent President.

In an effort to foster transparency and engagement, the forums will allow attendees to pose questions directly to the candidates. Staff, faculty, students, and stakeholders may also submit their questions in advance of the forums; those questions will be read by the forums’ moderators to ensure a wide array of subjects are covered and that valuable discussions are facilitated.

Moreover, attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the candidate whose forum they attended. This will form part of the overall assessment of each candidate's suitability for the role of President and will help to ensure that the Board’s final decision aligns with the needs and expectations of our University community.

Please note that the feedback survey will be open only to attendees of the forums. This is to ensure that the feedback reflects the live interactions and discussions that take place during the events.

I sincerely encourage all staff, faculty, students, and stakeholders to take part in these events, as their insights and perspectives are crucial in this important decision-making process. The Board of Regents is committed to a transparent, inclusive, and engaging selection process, and we look forward to the valuable discussions that these forums will undoubtedly bring about.

Questions in advance of the forums may be sent to presidentialsearch@kysu.edu. The feedback surveys will be sent to the email addresses of all those who attend a forum.

The forums may be attended in person at the University’s Cooperative Extension Building. Alternatively, the forums may be attended via Zoom. The candidate, date, time, and Zoom link for each forum are listed below:
